When we say generosity, an image of who pops in your brain? What makes them generous? Also, how has their generosity changed your life?

Hopefully, you have had someone generous in your life. Whether that is with their time, their money or simply caring.

I love this promise that when we are generous, we prosper. Generous doesn’t have to be all about money.

You can be generous with your time, your gifts like cooking or baking, and with your words.

Have you ever seen a momma struggling with a little one? We all have, and we can be generous with our words, encouraging them that they are doing a great job.

When you feel that little nudge in your spirit to speak up, that is the Holy Spirit wanting to use you to encourage someone else. Our words can simply help someone keep going and to be seen and heard.

You can also be generous with your talents. Maybe you are a great baker or make some amazing homemade bread. Find someone in need and share your gift with them.

Finally, be generous with your time. Check-in with friends and simply ask how are you. Listen without wanting to solve the problems and let them know they are seen and heard.

When you do this, you will prosper. You will see God’s favor and refreshment in your life. You will receive more every single time than what you gave.

We live busy lives, we have to be intentional in asking God how to be generous in our day. The more you do this, the more you will find it natural and see his prosperity.

Daily Prayer

God,

So many times, I am so busy that I forget that you simply want me to be generous with what you have given me.

Show me, today, who you want to encourage and serve. Use me any way you want to be your hands and feet.

Thank you for your promises. Thank you for prosperity so I can then be more generous.

In Jesus Name,

Amen
